What, Exactly, is
"Rape Culture?"
“a culture in which dominant cultural ideologies, media images, social practices, and societal institutions support and condone sexual abuse by normalizing, trivializing and eroticizing male violence against women and blaming victims for their own abuse”. (Huffington Post).
Where rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture.

KEEP IN MIND: Rape culture is not necessarily a society or group of people that outwardly support and promote rape. Rather we are discussing something more implicit than that. It is the talk about cultural practices that excuse or otherwise tolerate sexual violence. It's about the way that we collectively think about rape. More often than not, it's situations in which sexual assaults, rape, and general violence are ignored, trivialized, normalized, or made into jokes.

Rape Culture affects every woman!
The rape of one woman is a...
...degradation
...terror
...and limitation to all women.
Most women and girls limit their behavior because of the existence of rape; they live in fear of rape and this cycle of fear is the legacy of Rape Culture.
